Last Wednesday, I was lucky enough to score myself an invite to the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week Insider’s Launch Party. Held at the stunning Rialto towers, I got to mingle with some of the most beautiful / talented people in the industry,  while sipping on some amazing Sky Blue vodka concoctions. I was also one of the first to gain an insight into the new MSFW insider’s video series, which gives you a behind the scenes look of all the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of Spring Fashion Week (you can watch it here on Youtube). For a self proclaimed Nanna who is usually in bed by 9pm on a Wednesday night this experience was excitement and overwhelming, all wrapped in one, but felt amazing to be a part of.

Deciding what to wear was a toughie! I am someone who will spend all night thinking about an outfit, and how I feel about what I’m wearing can often dictate my mood for the entire day (Ask my boyfriend as he know’s this all too well).

After mentally pairing every ensemble in my wardrobe, I decided that I would feel the most comfortable and ‘me’ in my go-to white and grey combo. I wore my new ivory strapless bodice from Keepsake the label paired with my favourite relaxed trousers rolled up above the ankles that, I picked up from Savers years ago! And of course my grey oversized coat thrown over my shoulders. I also added extra layers and toughness to the neckline with a black printed bandana. Bandana’s have been seen everywhere lately, a trend I’ve freely adopted as I just love how they can bring an edgier look to your outfit.
