25 Oct / OCTOBER BEAUTY WITH L’OCCITANE
Can you believe it’s almost November? It only feels like it’s just starting to transition to Spring in Melbourne, with the warmer weather making a slight appearance here and there. I always find that a change up in your beauty routine is never more important than it is with the change from cold to hot, and back again. My hands in particular always suffer greatly during the colder months. Becoming overly dry and my nails just as weak.
My October beauty picks are centred around showing your hands a little love and getting them prepped and primed for the the numerous seasonal occasions ahead of us.
Insert L’Occitane’s unbeatable trio – A beauty routine for your hands:
Shea Butter Hand Cream (here)
One of my all time favourite products by L’Occitane is their Shea Butter Hand Cream. I’ve raved about this product so many times before and I always keep a little tube handy in my overnight bag. Apply just a smidge of the Shea Butter, that contains a blend of honey, almond oil and coconut oil, and the moisture difference is immediately visible. It always leaves my hands feeling super soft, without the oiliness so it’s great to use wherever and whenever it’s needed. The hand cream is one of L’Occitane’s best sellers and I can definitely see why!
Shea Ultra Rich Minute Hand Scrub (here)
This one is perfect to use every other day or even on a weekly basis, when your hands need that extra bit of attention and works wonders when combined with the Shea Butter Hand Cream. Containing a mixture of brown exfoliating sugar, shea, sweet almond and grapeseed oils, it the perfect way to prep your hands and nails pre nail appointment and to get rid of any dead, flaky skin around this area. Combine the product before using and gently rub all over your hands for a solid minute, before gently rinsing it all off. Just like a great exfoliant, the hand scrub leaves skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
Shea Nail & Cuticle Nourishing Oil (here)
After years of chronic biting my nails are extremely weak and I’m always looking for ways to strengthen them. If you’re anything like me, then I know that you’ll love the final product in this trio, the Shea Nail & Cuticle Nourishing Oil. What I love most about this product in particular is it’s ease of application. It has a brush to apply the oil onto your cuticles, meaning I am less likely to make a complete mess out of it, like I normally would. Containing 30% Shea Oil the formula works best when massaged onto your cuticles and is a dream for those of us looking to revitalise their nails, particularly after shellac or SNS applications, which can leave them cracked and weak.
