My trick to Winter styling is to start with good quality basics that will keep you feeling warm as well as provide a good base for the rest of your look. The first ingredient in my recipe for a winning (and warm) Winter outfit, is a pair of leather or leather look pants. These are one of my favourite staples to style during the cooler months. They are the epitome of ‘cool girl’ chic and keep your pins hidden from the cool. Invest in ones that have zip detailing and panelling along the knee to add extra depth to your outfit.

My second ingredient? A killer pair of black ankle boots. This really is no secret, but ankle boots are such a transeaonal piece and if you find a great pair, you won’t want to take them off. Pair these  two staple ingredients with basics such as a white shirt or t-shirt. Depending on how low the temperatures drop, you can even layer these on top of a turtle neck.

Build on your winter base, with the third ingredient; an outwear piece. You can invest in a different one each Winter to ensure your look remains fresh and you can outfit repeat, with no thought needed. The two colours I’m loving at the moment for Winter outwear are camel and khaki, but if you are too scared to stray from the beloved black, try coats that are made of different textures.

Finally add complimenting and trend pieces such as a 70s baker cap and a bucket bag.
